Obama's triumph in the presidential race for the white house has been crowned with a thumping majority to the delight of the oppressed masses throughout the world. His winning a landslide victory in the recent presidential pole of the US to elect its 44th president is seen not only by the long persecuted black race within US but also by all the oppressed and downtrodden people around the globe as a ray of hope that would lead to a world ruled by people with humble back ground.


The cheers Obama receives from the underprivileged and deprived masses all over the world shows nothing but their long time aspiration to find their own representative in the corridors of power in a country that exercise enormous influence over today’s world affairs.


With its colossal nuclear arsenal and a gigantic military which devours annually a huge defense budget that supersedes many developed countries' combined annual military budget , with an arrogant foreign policy making body that places its jingoistic nationalist interests over the welfare of the humankind and an infamous spy agency CIA that plays the role of a super government…..


with its nefarious designs to topple the rulers it finds detrimental to the US interests to crown its puppets and allies as rulers in the third world countries, America has represented so far an evil empire of war mongers, mischief makers and an arrogant super state that claims unquestionable superiority and reckless sovereignty over the destiny of the world.


White house is in fact not worth its name, as its history is stained with murderous plots, assassinations of rulers and leaders around the globe, toppling of regimes deemed unfavorable to the US interests, staging military coups to oust leaders defying the diktats of US policy makers, creating and training militias and guerilla groups to bow down the leaders flouting its orders, triggering civil wars and anarchy to intimidate the foreign governments and its people in order to make them dance to the tunes of the US foreign policy.


As the former Premier of UK Sir Winston Churchill who led his country successfully at a critical moment of World war 11 once said, “Nations have no morals; only interests.” In the present day world, this chauvinistic norm of modern nationalism is well manifested in its ugliest form in the role played by the White House thru its infamous spy agency the CIA.


The super power status attained by the US is not a result of its contribution towards the world community for its welfare, its industrial and technical progress and promotion of world peace. But it was attained by Uncle Sam’s self proclaimed designation of the protector of human rights, despite gross violations of human rights in its own soil and in many of its allies’ territories.


This status was grabbed through America’s big brother attitude that bent on serving its own imperialistic designs and safeguarding its regional interests. It was heartlessly seized by the US through subjecting the weak nations to its will by using brutal military force on the false pretexts of proliferation of WMD, violation of human rights.


This status was obtained by oppression of freedom thirst people and by brokering injudicious pacts between warring rival parties in various parts of the globe, so that and so on.


The first ever nuclear test conducted on human beings was the Manhattan Project ordered by the coldhearted President of US, Mr. Harry Truman and executed by a group of scientists driven by the madness of ultra-nationalistic chauvinism, turning a blind eye to humanitarian concerns.


The nuclear bombs exploded by the US in its human test fields of Hiroshima and Nagasaki played havoc with the lives of hundreds of thousands of innocent human beings and took a heavy toll on their ill fated lives in an unprecedented manner never experienced throughout the human history. This horrendous catastrophe would suffice to explain how the US became a super power by striking the never forgettable terror in the hearts of the nations dwelling on this planet of earth.


The blind support of the US to the despotic and authoritarian regimes, the demagogues in the Islamic and third world countries and its use of them as its pawns in its political game plan have made its crusade to establish the democratic system all over the world delicate and ridiculous even in the eyes of the gullible masses.


This unjustifiable foreign policy adopted since long by the US is an eye-opener to both the public and the elite. This policy of double standards exposes its ideological bankruptcy and ruthless hypocrisy.


It is an irony of present day global politics that the self declared proponent of democracy the US, on one hand claims to promote liberal democracy that guarantees freedom of expression and rule of law and on the other hand it is promoting authoritarianism, despotic monarchy, military dictatorship and fake democracy where puppet rulers are elected with sweeping majority through rigged polls.


Attempting to impose its own will on the impoverished nations, subjecting them further to an unscrupulous exploitation in the name of protecting human rights and liberating them from the clutches of oppressive regimes have become the basic characteristic of the foreign policy of the White house.


In the recent barbaric war launched by Israel on Gaza strip in the pretext of hunting the Hamas activists the White house and its foreign affairs office seem to be hand in glove with Israel’s insane aggression, its indiscriminate bombing of schools and public places resulting in high death toll of civilians including a large number of women and children.


The US has turned a deaf ear to the appeals from the world human rights organizations. It has signed a co-operation accord with the foreign minister of Israel to stop smuggling of arms through the tunnels to Gaza from Egypt in order to unarm the already poorly armed defenseless Gazans, the targets of heavy bombardment of Israel’s Air force.


While Palestinian blood spills and more than thousand Palestinians die and hundreds of thousands are getting injured the US and its western allies are demanding Hamas, a mismatch to the world’s fourth strongest most sophisticated army of Israel to stop launching its least effective grenades and rockets.


As Dr. Mahathir said these war crimes are committed against an occupied and humiliated nation with the help of US weapons and political support only.


These undeniable facts and blood stained track records of the White house are telling us in a clear and loud voice that the oval office is nothing but a black house in its spirit and character.


Similarly, first time in the world history the charisma of an optimistic leader who belongs to a nation that remained victim of apartheid for centuries, although highly educated hailing from humble background, convincingly articulate with his balanced approach and plain logic, campaigning with the slogan of “we can” and promising the much required change attracts the entire world and his own country’s large electorate irrespective of class, color and creed.


With them, the entire world has begun to spin its hopes with this man of magnetic charm who captivates the minds by his prudent way of analyzing the problems and wins the hearts by his sane and sensible arguments.


Barack Husain Obama, the US President-elect, son of a Kenyan Muslim father and a White Christian mother, who boasts himself to be brought up by a grandma that taught him all the cherished human values, who was schooled in a third world country Indonesia in his early boyhood and experienced all the sufferings of wretched and stressful life of a poverty ridden society is expected by the people of the world to be different from all the previous presidents of America.


It is a turning point not only in the history of the US but also in the history of the world, that once extremely persecuted and oppressed nation can produce such a fascinating leader in the once a white racist country US where a black man cannot enter the white house even as a visitor could enter it as the President of the whole country.


This fact is effectively conveyed by the veteran journalist Jonathan Power who worked for the Black leader Martin Luther king and participated in his civil rights movement in his article ‘Obama the President’ in these impressive words :


On getting this clean and shining image of Barak Obama projected by himself during the campaign for Presidential election , the people of the world don’t consider him- as popularly believed- to be a Black Man in the White house: instead they deem him a White (hearted) Man in the Black house.


They expect him to stop the occupation of foreign lands in the name of war on terror, to stop unleashing terror and inflicting heavy loss on them in terms of life and property, to interfere in internal affairs of other nations, to stop sending troops to other countries in order to occupy and bring regime change with bogus claims and to stop threatening to launch pre-emptive strike on nations that pursue nuclear projects for peaceful purpose.


At the same time, the US refuses to stop its most favored nation that has already achieved secretly its nuclear ambitions and notorious for its aggressive nature, the Israel, So, the people of the world expect him to stop using double standards in its diplomacy of handling world affairs and to be fair and sane in dealing with them.


They expect him to stop the gigantic arms industry operating in the US that manufactures sophisticated weapons of mass destruction to export to other countries and groups, thus proliferating the arms race and triggering wars around the globe.


They expect him to stop Israel from its naked aggression against a people driven from their homes and turned in to refugees in their own soil inflicting on them unbearable losses of lives and properties and to draft and enforce a -judicious peace accord through an honest arbitration of the US with an unflinching will and monitor with sufficient alertness in order to prevent Israel from breaching it as it used to do in the past.


Also they expect to stop the inhuman blockade of the Gaza people from going to work to earn their livelihood and barring the essential things like food and medicine from reaching them.


However, his predecessor Mr. Bush has become the most hated leader in the international arena by the people of the world. His wrong policies and hawkish approach, insane acts of war mongering has made the world a worse place instead of a better place to live. Millions of people wounded and died. Thousands perished in torture cells without any fair trial and open hearing.


But, we could not predict whether Obama will stand up to his claims and fulfill his promises to bring a positive change in the policies of white house or will become a victim of the hawkish Neo cons and biased Jewish advisors and policy makers appointed by him.


Combined with these hawks, the influence of the Jewish media and the power of the military-industrial complex and the many a opinion makers among the academia and the intelligentsia as well that are in service of these big powers for their own interests will definitely resist immensely any change in the foreign policy of the US.


Let us wait and see whether Obama wins in this acid test and prove himself a white man in the black house who determined to change its image in to a real white or surrender himself to the pressures of the hawkish aides and the arrogant bureaucracy and let himself blackened with the Black house’s evil designs by succumbing to them.
