சாத்தான்களுக்கென்ன குறை?
-----------------------------

Subject: Scholarships at Saudi University planned to be a world class
university
Assalamu alaikkum!
Saudi Arabia is setting up a technological university
http://www.kaust. edu.sa
that is scheduled to open in Sept 2009 and is aggressively planning to make it as one of the most leading technological universities in the world, spending 10
billion dollars, which is more than what was spent on MIT.
In order to make it a world class technology institute
it has decided to sponsor 500 students world wide who are
currently doing their engineering degrees. They would sponsor your
existing education tution fees and a stipend at your existing
university in India and fully fund your studies in MS in Saudi along
with a handsome stipend so that it attracts some of the
brightest minds in engineering in the world that could help it in making it
a top class universtiy. It has employing some of the leading
faculties and some Nobel price winners as part of their faculty. It is
completely based on Merit and as part of their first round, no students
from India were selected. Now the second round is scheduled to
close on May 10.
This is an ideal oppurtunity for the bright students to
pursue their
education and expect top class faculty and research
guides and they
will get some of the best jobs in the middle east.
http://www.kaust. edu.sa/students/ discovery-
scholarships. aspx
This is completely based on merit irrespective of
religion or race
and people from all places are welcome to apply.
On the other side: This university would be outside the
Saudi
government islamic rule. Some of them are that this
would be the
first co-ed campus in the kingdom and women would be
allowed to wear
non-traditional dresses.

can you imagine this happening in INDIA ?
Government of India has an online Grievance forum at http://darpg-grievance.nic.in/
The government wants people to use this tool to highlight the problems they faced while dealing with Government officials or departments like Passport Office, Electricity board, BSNL/MTNL, Railways etc.
I know many people will say that these things don't work in India , but this actually works as one of the person working in CSC found. The guy I'm talking about lives in Faridabad . Couple of months back, the Faridabad Municipal Corporation laid new roads in his area and the residents were very happy about it. But 2 weeks later, BSNL dug up the newly laid roads to install new cables which annoyed all the residents including this guy. But it was only this guy! Who used the above listed grievance forum to highlight his concern. And to his surprise, BSNL and Municipal Corporation of Faridabad was served a show cause notice and the guy received a copy of the notice in one week. Government has asked the MC and BSNL about the goof up as it's clear that both the government departments were not in sync at all.
So use this grievance forum and educate others who don't know about this facility.
This way we can at least raise our concerns instead of just talking about the ' System' in India . Invite your friends to contribute for many such happenings.

Makkah: The Makkah-based Muslim World League will hold an International Islamic Dialogue Conference.
The conference will be held at the Muslim World League (MWL) headquarters in Makkah from May 31 to June 2.
Speaking to Gulf News, MWL Secretary-General Dr Abdullah Al Turki said the conference will be held under the patronage of King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz.
A galaxy of Muslim leaders, scholars, intellectuals as well as officials of Islamic centres and associations and university professors from various countries will participate in the conference, he said adding that invitations have so far been sent to the dignitaries to attend the conference.
Dr Al Turki thanked King Abdullah and Crown Prince Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz for their attention and care for Muslim affairs.
"The agenda of the conference will be based on four areas. These are Islamic principles and viewpoint toward dialogue, the style of dialogue and its regulations, the addressees of dialogue and fields for dialogue," he said.
Several papers will be presented and lectures will be delivered during the three-day event. There will be a special emphasis on the framework of dialogue with non-Muslims.
The conference will also look into the prospects of dialogue "in the wake of attempts to offend Islam and the growing phenomenon of Islamophobia", Dr Al Turki said. He added that the conference will come out with an Islamic document with regard to dialogue.
