Welcome to News From India
India's most widely circulated English language newspaper covering national,
international ,sports and other news related to muslim world.

Weekly 'News From India'
An English weekly of Indian Muslims 'News from India' first appeared on 6
December, 1993. And it was the same date when Babri Masjid was martyred a
year before, i.e. on 6th December 1992.
If you turn over the pages of the previous issues of the weekly, you would
find how at such a critical juncture, when there pervaded an environment of
utter confusion, anguish and anger among the Muslim community through out
the world, especially in India, in the wake of the martyrdom of the Babri
Masjid. The Muslim community of India had no platform of its own to give
vent to its grievously injured feelings as the national media, too appeared
to be greatly biased. Rather, at times, it looked to be playing a role of a
suppressor or distorter of the truth. And it was really a testing time for
the Indian Muslims who were in a dire need of an effective platform in order
to bring to fore the truth. And, of course, the weekly News From India came
up to call a spade , with professional excellence, honesty and fortitude.
Note:
The 'News From India' became a daily on 1st July 2006, there by having an
honour of being the 1st English daily of the Indian Muslims, after 1947.
