Application invited for the entrance tests of Banaras Hindu University Varanasi for the admission to
MBBS/BDS/BAMS/B.Pharm./B.Pharm (Ayurveda) Courses-2009.

Admission to the MBBS course (63 seats) will be based on a two stage process, the PMT-2009 Screening and PMT-2009 Main.

Admission to BDS (28 seats)/BAMS (57 seats) / B. Pharm. (28 seats) and B.Pharm.(Ayurveda) (Paid seats - 30) courses, will be based only on
PMT-2009 Screening.

The PMT-2009 Screening will be held on 6th May 2009 (Wednesday) at Varanasi, Delhi, Kolkata, and Hyderabad Centres.

The PMT-2009 Main for selection of candidates to the MBBS Course will be held on the
14th June 2009 (Sunday) at Varanasi Centre only.

Applicant should have passed Intermediate, 10+2 or equivalent examination in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Zoology + Botany)
taken together.

For admission to MBBS/BDS/BAMS/B.Pharm.(Ay.), applicant should have a minimum of 50% aggregate marks for General category and
40% for OBC/SC/ST candidates. For admission to B.Pharm course, applicant should have a minimum of 60% marks for General & OBC
category and 55% aggregate marks for SC/ST candidates.

Candidates appearing in qualifying examination may also apply.
Last date to submit the application form is on 9th March 2009 (Monday).
