பொன்னாடை

“என்னங்க …” என்றாள் உள்ளே இருந்து ஹாலுக்கு வந்து கொண்டிருந்த கணவன் ஜலாலைப் பார்த்து அவனது மனைவி நஜ்மா.
“என்னது…?” என்று கேட்கும் தோரணையில் எழுதுவதை நிறுத்தி விட்டு, மனைவியை ஏறிட்டுப் பார்த்தான் ஜலால்.
“பெருநா வரப்போகுது … ஊட்லெ ஒரு சாமானும் இல்ல. புள்ளகளுக்கு துணி மணி வேற எடுக்கணும் …” அவள் அமைதியாகப் பட்டியல் போட்டுக் கொண்டிருந்தாள், தேவைகள் பற்றி.
“இப்ப அதுக்கு என்னெ என்ன செய்யச் சொல்றே …?” கணவன் ஜலால், கணீர் குரலில் மனைவியிடம் கேட்டான்.
“என்னெ என்ன செய்யச் சொல்றேன்டு என்னட்டயே கேக்றியலாக்கும்? நல்லாருக்குதே சேதி!” – மனைவி நஜ்மா, அலுத்துக் கொண்டவளாக கணவனைப் பார்த்தாள். பிறகு அவளே தொடர்ந்து பேசினாள்.
“எங்கெயாச்சும், கடன் கப்பெ வாங்கியாச்சும் துணிமணிகளெ எடுத்துத் தக்யக் குடுங்க. ஊட்டுச் சாமானுகளையும் கொஞ்சம் கொஞ்ச மாச்சும் வாங்கி வாங்க…” –அவள் அபிப்பிரயம் கூறிவிட்டு, அமர்த்தலாக நின்றாள்.
அதே நேரத்தில் –
“சார்…. தபால்” – என்ற குரல் வெளி வாசலில் கேட்டது. நஜ்மாவே வாசலுக்குச் சென்று, தபாலை வாங்கி வந்து கணவனிடம் கொடுத்தாள்.
தபாலை வாங்கிப் பார்த்த ஜலாலின் முகம் குப்பென்று மலர்ந்தது ! தபாலின் தலைப்பிலேயே, “பாராட்டு அழைப்பிதழ்” – என்ற வாசகம் கொட்டை எழுத்துக்களில் மிளிர்ந்தது. – அவனை அகமகிழச் செய்தது!
ஜலால், சுமார் 30 – 35 ஆண்டுகளாக இஸ்லாமிய மக்களின் நன்மைக்காக, எழுத்துப் பணி ஆற்றிவரும் அருங்கவிஞன் – பெருங் கதைஞன் – நற்சமத்தன் ! அவன் எழுதாத இஸ்லாமியத் தமிழ் ஏடுகள் இல்லை என்றே சொல்லலாம் – பங்கு பெறாத இஸ்லாமியக் கூட்டங் களும் இல்லை எனலாம் !
அந்த அரும்பணிபுரிந்து கொண்டே, அரசு வேலை ஒன்றிலும் தொண்டாற்றி, ஓய்வு பெற்று வீட்டில் இருந்து, எழுத்து ஒன்றே என் வேலை – என்பதாக எண்ணி செயல் புரிந்து வந்தான்.
மாதாமாதம் வரும் சொற்ப பென்ஷன் பணத்தைக் கொண்டு குடும்பம் நடந்தது. மனைவி, பிள்ளைகள் என்ற வகையில் இரு மகள்கள் மற்றும் அவன் – ஆக நான்கு பேர்களுக்கு அவன் வாங்கும் பென்ஷன் பணம் போதுமானதாக இருந்து வந்தது. என்றாலும் –
வேறு வகைச் செலவுகள் – நோய்நொடி – நல்ல நாள் பெருநாள் – விருந்தாளிகள் வருகை … என்றெல்லாம் வந்தால், திண்டாட்டம் தான் !
மனைவி கொடுத்த தபாலை வாங்கிப் பிரித்துப் பார்த்தான் ஜலால்.
அதில் –
“அன்புடையீர் ! அஸ்ஸலாமு அலைக்கும் ! எங்களது இலக்கிய மன்றத்தின் சார்பாக, தாங்கள் சமுதாயத்துக்கு ஆற்றி வரும் இலக்கியப் பெரும் பணியைப் பாராட்டும் வகையில் தங்களுக்குப் பொன்னாடைப் போர்த்திச் சிறப்பிக்க இருக்கிறோம். எனவே – தாங்கள் தவறாமல் வருகை தந்து பாராட்டில் கலந்து, விழாவைச் சிறப்பித்துத் தரும்படி வேண்டுகிறோம். மிக்க நன்றி . தங்களின் – விழாக்குழு”
வாசகங்களை வாய்விட்டுப் படித்த போது மனைவி நஜ்மாவும் கூட உள்ளம் பூரித்துப் புலகாங்கிதம் அடைந்து போனாள் !
“சரி…” ஒன்னோட தேவைக்கி ஒரு வகையில வாய்ப்பு வந்துருச்சு. விழாவுக்குப் போய்ட்டு வந்த பிறகு ஒன்னோட சாமான்கள், துணி மணிகள் எல்லாத்தையும் வாங்கிக்கிறலாம் போ”
ஜலால் மனைவிக்கு ஆறுதல் வார்த்தைகள் கூறிவிட்டு எழுதிக் கொண்டிருந்த ஆக்கங்களைத் தொடர்ந்து எழுதத் தொடங்கினான்.
பாராட்டு விழா அரங்கம் பளீரென்று பளபளத்துக் காட்சி அளித்தது. அலங்கார வளைவுகள், ஆங்காங்கே விழா அழைப்புப் பேனர்கள் மினுமினுக்கும் ஜரிகைத் தோரணங்கள் …. இப்படியாக ஏகப்பட்ட பொருட்செலவில் எல்லா விதத்திலும் அமர்க்களப்பட்டது அரங்கம் !
விழாத் தலைவர் பேசினார். கேமராக்கள் பளிச்சிட்டன. அடுத்துப் பேசிய பேச்சாளர்கள், எழுத்தாளர்களின் ஏழ்மை குறித்தும் அவதிகள் குறித்தும் பட்டவர்த்தனமாக விளக்கினார்கள்.
அதன்பிறகு சில எழுத்தாளர்கள் பாராட்டப்பட்டனர். இறுதியாக –
முன்னோடி எழுத்தாளராகிய கவிஞர் – கதைஞர் முஹம்மது ஜலால் அவர்கள் பொன்னாடை போர்த்தப்பட்டு அவரது இலக்கியப் பணிகள் பாராட்டப்பட்டு சிறப்பிக்கப்பட்டார் !
விழா முடிவுற்றது. அவரவர்கள் புறப்பட்டுப் போனார்கள். கலந்து கொண்ட பொதுமக்கள் தத்தம் ஊர்களுக்குப் போகும் பஸ்களைப் பிடிப்பதற்காக ஓட்டமும் நடையுமாகக் கிளம்பிப் போனார்கள்.
அருங்கவிஞர் – கதைஞர் – முஹம்மது ஜலால் அவர்களும் ஊருக்குப் புறப்பட்டுச் சென்றார்.
புறப்படுமுன், தனக்குப் போர்த்தப்பட்ட பொன்னாடையை விரித்துப் பார்த்தார். “ஆஹா ! என்ன அழகு ! என்ன பளபளப்பு ! குறைந்தது முன்னூறு ரூபாயாவது இருக்கும் !” என்று அகம் குளிர்ந்து வாயாரப் புகழ்ந்து கொண்டார் !
முதல் நாள் பாராட்டு விழாவுக்குப் போன கணவன் ஜலால், மறுநாள் மாலை ஊர் வந்து சேர்ந்ததைக் கண்டு கண்ணெல்லாம் களி பொங்க வாயெல்லாம் வாழ்த்துக் கூற, மனைவி நஜ்மா வரவேற்றாள்.
“என்ன்ங்க .. எப்டி இருந்துச்சு விழா?” – மனைவி மகிழ்வுடன் கேட்டாள்.
“பெரிய அமர்க்களம் போ ! அருமையான பேச்சுக்கள் – சொற்பொழிவு கள், அருமையான கவியரங்கம் அருமையான பாராட்டுக்கள் – ரொம்ப ரொம்ப விஷேசம் !” ஜலால் உண்மையிலேயே மனநிறைவுடன் கூறினான்.
“ஒங்களுக்கு என்னங்க குடுத்தாக?” மனைவி மிக ஆவலுடன் கேட்டாள்.
“எனக்கும் தான் பொன்னாடை போத்துனாக. மத்தவுகளுக்குக் கூட சும்மா பாராட்டுப் பத்திரம் தான் குடுத்தாக” – கணவன் பெருமையாகக் கூறினான்.
என்ன? வெறும் பொன்னாடை தானா குடுத்தாக ….? வேற போக்கு வரத்துச் செலவுக்குக் கூட ஒண்ணுந்தரலையா?” மனைவி மலைத்துப் போய்க் கேட்டாள்.
“போக்குவரத்துச் செலவா …? நீ ஒரு கிறுக்கச்சி ! இவ்வளவு பெரிய பொன்னாடையைத் தந்தவுக, செலவுக்கு வேறயா பணந்தருவாக?” – அவன் அப்பாவித்தனமாக மனைவிக்குப் பதில் கூறினான்.
மனைவி அசந்து போனாள் ! செலவுக்கென்று வைத்திருந்த பணத்தை, கணவன் வெளியூர் செல்வதற்கென்று கொடுத்தனுப்பிய அவளுக்கு, வெறும் துண்டோடு வந்து நின்ற கணவனையும், அவன் சொன்னதையும் பார்த்து விட்டு எரிச்சலாக வந்தது.
“எங்க … குடுங்க உங்க பொன்னாடையெ …” என்றபடியே, அவன் கையிலிருந்த பையைப் பறித்து உள்ளே இருந்த பொன்னாடையை வெடுக்கென்று வெளியில் எடுத்து விரித்துப் பார்த்தாள் அவள்.
முடிவாக அவள் அவனிடம் “ஏங்க … இந்த துணியெ வாங்குறதுக்குத் தானா, எங்கையிலெ செலவுக்கு வச்சிருந்த காசெப் பறிச்சிக்கிட்டுப் போனிய ? பெரிய பரிசா ஏதாச்சும் பணம் காசு கொடுத்து வாங்கிக்கிட்டு வரவியன்டு நெனைச்சுக்கிட்டு கெடந்தேன். கடைசிலெ இந்தத் துணியெப் போயி வாங்கியாந்து இருக்கியலெ !
பெருநாளக்கி புள்ளெகளுக்குத் துணி எடுக்க என்ன செய்விய ? அதனால இந்தப் பொன்னாடெத் துணியெவெ புள்ளைகளுக்கு ரெண்டு பேருக்கும் பாவாடெ தச்சுக் குடுத்துறலாம். பழய சட்டெகளைத் தப்பிக் குடுத்தறலாம்.”
-மனைவி நஜ்மா அலட்டிக் கொள்ளாமல் கணவனிடம் கூறிவிட்டு, பொன்னாடையுடன் உள்ளே போனாள்.
ஜலால், ஒன்றும் தோன்றாமல் திகைத்துப் போய் நின்றான். அவன் கண்முன்னால், அந்தப் பொன்னாடை நிழலாடியது !

என் பெயர் நூர்ஜஹான்
என் பெயர் நூர்ஜஹான்
என் பெயர் நூர்ஜஹான்
என் வயது இருபத்து எட்டு.
எங்கள் வீடு இன்றைக்கு
பரபரப்பாக இயங்கியது
அந்த பரபரப்புக்கு
நான்தான் காரணம்
என்றாலும் குஉட
எனக்கு மட்டும் ஏனோ
எந்த பரபரப்பும் இல்லை.
எனக்கு இயல்பாகவே
இவையெல்லாம் இருந்தன.
இது எத்தனையாவது முறை?
உனக்க ஞாபகம் இல்லை
ஒன்று இரண்டு முறையென்றால்
ஒரு வேளை ஞாபகமிருக்கும்
என்னைப் பெண் பார்க்க வருவதை
என் அம்மா யாரிடமோ
சொல்லிக் கொண்டிருந்தாள்
‘சென்ற முறை வந்தவர்கள்
என்ன சொன்னார்கள்?’
எதிர்த்தரப்பிலிருந்து இளக்காரமாய்
கேள்வி பிறந்தது
‘பெண்ணென்றால் ஆயிரம் பேர்
பார்த்து விட்டு செல்வது
இவ்வுலகில் நடப்பதுதானே…
யாருக்கு யார் என்று
இறைவன் எழுதி வைத்துள்ளானோ
அப்படித்தானே எல்லாம் நடக்கும்’
எதிர்கேள்விக்கு பதில் சொல்லி
என் அம்மா சமாளித்துப் பேசுவாள்
ஆம்…
இப்படிப் பேசியே என் அம்மா
சுமாதானம் கொள்வாள்.
வாசலில் ஆட்டோ சப்தம்
அவர்கள் வந்து விட்டார்கள்.
காத்திருந்த தந்தையார்
ஓடிப்போய் வரவேற்று
அழைத்து வந்தார்.
இப்படி எத்தனை முறை
என் தந்தை ஓடியிருப்பார்?
ஏன் அவருக்கு மட்டும்
இன்னும் சலிப்பே இல்லை?
எனக்கு ஆச்சரியமாய் இருக்கும்.
அதுதான் பெற்றவரின் கடமையா?
என்னைச் சுற்றியும் மாப்பிள்ளை வீட்டார்
என்ன படித்திருக்கின்றாய்?
என்ன ஓதியருக்கின்றாய்?
இப்படியான கேள்விகளுக்கெல்லாம்
படபடவென்று பண்புடனே
பதில் உரைப்பேன்ஃ
‘நல்ல புத்திசாலி பொண்ணு’
வியப்புடன் மாப்பிள்ளை வீட்டார்
விழிகளை உயர்த்துவார்கள்.
இப்படியான கேள்விகள்
எனக்கொன்றும் புதிதல்லவே.
இந்தக் கேள்விகளுக்கான பதில்கள்

இடுப்பில் குழந்தையுடன்
செல்லுகின்ற போதெல்லாம்
எனக்கும் இப்படி ஆசை பிறக்கும்
‘இறைவா… எனக்கும்
திருமண பாக்கியம் கொடுப்பாயாக’
இறைவனிடம் இறைஞ்சுவேன்.
கண்ணாடியில் முகம் பார்த்தேன்
என் தலையில் ஒன்றிரண்டு வெள்ளை முடிகள்.
‘உனக்குன்னு ஒருத்தன்
பிறக்காமலா போயிருப்பான்?’
அடிக்கடி என் பாட்டி
அன்புடனே சொல்லிக் கொண்டிருப்பாள்.
‘எனக்குன்னு ஒருத்தன்
பொறக்காமலா போயிருப்பான்?’
எனக்கும் நம்பிக்கை ஆசைகள்
அப்போதெல்லாம் பிறக்கும்.

பெருமானார் முஹம்மது(ஸல்) அவர்களின் காலத்தில் அப்துல்லாஹ் இப்னு பாகிர் என்பார் வாழ்ந்திருந்தார். பெருமானாரின் திருத்தோழராகும் பேறு பெற்ற அன்னார், அண்ணலாரின் அரிய வாழ்த்தினைப் பெற்றவர்.அவாரின் வழித்தோன்றல்கள் அனைவரும் காலமெல்லாம் கமழ்மணத்துடன் வாழவேண்டும் என்றே அண்ணலார் ஆசி கூறினார். அந்த பரம்பரையில் வந்தவரே 'சேகு முதலியார்' என்ற செய்கு முஹம்மது அலியார் ஆவர். அன்னார் மலையாள நாட்டிலிருந்து தமிழ்நாட்டிற்க்கு வந்து,திருநெல்வேலியைச் சார்ந்த நாகலாபுரத்தில் குடியிருந்து கொண்டு, அதையடுத்திருந்த எட்டையபுரத்து மகாராஜாவிடம் வாசனைத் திரவியங்களை எடுத்துப் போய் விற்றுக் காலம் கழித்து வந்தார்.உயர்ந்த மணப்பொருட்களை வழங்கித் தம் உள்ளத்தைக் கொள்ளை கொண்ட சேகு முதலியார் தம் அருகிலேயே வாழ்ந்து வரவேண்டு மென்று மன்னர் விரும்பினார்.என்வே, சேகு முதலியாரும் மன்னரின் விருப்பிற்க்குக் கட்டுப்பட்டு, நாகலாபுரத்திலும் எட்டையபுரத்திலுமாக வாழ்ந்து வந்தார். அக்காலத்தில்தான், அவருடைய ஒப்பற்ற அருந்தவக் கொழுந்தாக 'உமறு' என்ற அழகிய குழந்தை பிறந்தது. இளமையிலே எழிலும் கல்வியார்வமும் வாய்க்கப் பெற்ற சிறுவர் உமறு, எட்டையபுரத்து அரண்மனைத் தமிழ்ப்புலவராயிருந்த 'கடிகை முத்து புலவர்'என்பாரிடம் தமிழ்க் கல்வி பயிலத் தொடங்கினார்.பல்வகைக் கல்வி-கேள்விகளில் தேர்ந்த உமறு,தம் ஆசானின் பெருமதிப்பிற்குாரிய மாணவரானார். இவ்வாறிருக்கையில், ஒருநாள் வடநாட்டிலிருந்து ஆாரியமும் அருந்தமிழும் கற்றுப் புலமை பெற்ற 'வாலை வாருதி' என்ற புலவர் எட்டையபுர அரசவைக்கு வந்து சேர்ந்தார்.தம்மை வாதில் வெல்லத் தக்கார் யாருமிலார் என்று அவர் மார் தட்டிப் பேசிப் பிற புலவர்களை வாதுக்கழைத்தார். அதன்படியே எட்டையபுரத்து அரசவையிலும் வந்து அறிவித்தார். மன்னரும் ஆவன செய்ய இசைந்தார்.புலமைத் திறத்தாலன்றி, மாய மந்திரங்களாலேயே பல அரசவைப் புலவர்களை வெற்றிகொண்ட வாலைவாருதியைப் பற்றிக் கடிகைமுத்துப் புலவர் கேள்வியுற்றிருந்தார். அதனால், வித்தைகள் புரியும் வித்துவானைத் தம்மால் எவ்வாறு வெற்றிகொள்ள முடியுமென்ற நீங்காக் கவலையில் ஆழ்ந்திருந்தார்.ஆசானின் கவலையை அறிந்த மாணவர் உமறு,அவரை அணுகி,கவலைக்கான காரணத்தை விளங்கிக்கொண்டார். எனவே, வாலை வாருதியுடன் வாதிடுவதற்கான குறிப்பிட்ட நாள் வந்ததும், தம் ஆசிரியாரிடம் அவருக்குப் பகரமாக அரசவை செல்லுவதற்கான அனுமதியை வலிந்துப் பெற்று,எட்டையபுரத்து அரசவைக்கு வந்து சேர்ந்தார்.உடல் நலக் குறைவால் கடிகைமுத்துப் புலவர் வரவில்லையென்றும்,அவருக்குப் பகரமாக அவாரின் மாணவர் வந்திருக்கிறார் என்றும்,வாலை வாருதி தம் சொற்பொழிவைத் தொடங்கலாம் என்றும் மன்னர் உத்தரவிட்டார்.அதைச் செவியேற்ற வாலைவாருதி,தம் வலக்கையிற் போட்டிருந்த தங்கக் கடகத்தை அசைத்து மேலேற்றினார்.வழக்கமாக அக்கடகத்திலிருந்து ஒலிக்கும் 'வாலைவாருதி என்றறியீரோ' என்ற சொற்கள், அன்றைக்கு மட்டும், 'வாலைவாருதி என்றறியாயோ பிள்ளாய்!'என்று உண்டாயின.அப்போது உமறுப் புலவர்,தம் இடுப்பில் செருகியிருந்த யாழ்ப்பாணத்து எழுத்தாணியை எடுத்து நிலத்தில் ஊன்றி,"என் எழுத்தாணியே! இவருக்கெதிர் பேசு!"என்று கட்டளையிட்டார். ஒன்றும் நிகழவில்லை!பின்னும் உத்தரவிட்டார்.அப்போதும் ஏதும் நிகழவில்லை!மூன்றாவது முறையிலும் முயன்று தோல்வி கண்ட உமறு, கண்கள் சிவக்க,முகத்தில் தீக்கனல் பறக்கக் கடுஞ்சினம் கொண்டு, எழுத்தாணியைப் பார்த்து, 'பேசு!'என்று உரக்கக் கூறி உத்தரவிட்டார். அவை கிடுகிடுத்த அவ்வோசையைத் தொடர்ந்து, அவ்வெழுத்தாணியிலிருந்து கீழ்க்காணும் பாடல் உதிர்ந்து உள்ளங்களை அதிர வைத்தது:"சமரதுர கததுங்க மனருஞ்ச பாசென்றுசாரிசமா சனமீதிலேஅமரவொரு நரகொம்பு தினமுஞ்சு மாசெல்லுமமுதகவி ராஜனானேதிமிரபகை வரைவென்ற பருதியெனு மெமதெட்டத்தீரனணி வாயில்வித்வான்உமறுகுமு றிடிலண்ட முகடும்ப டீரென்னுமுள்ளச்சம் வையும்பிள்ளாய்!"இதனைச் செவியுற்ற புலவர் வாலைவாருதி,உளம் பதறி,மெய் நடுக்குற்று,தனது மந்திரச் சக்தியெல்லாம் இத்தகைய அற்புதத்தின் முன் அற்பம் என்றுணர்ந்து, எழுந்து சென்று உமறு புலவாரிடம் மண்டியிட்டு மன்னிப்புக் கோரி,அரசவையை விட்டு அகன்றார்.இந்நிகழ்ச்சி, மன்னருக்கு உமறுப் புலவர் மீது ஒப்பற்ற மதிப்பை ஏற்படுத்திற்று. மகிழ்ச்சிப் பெருக்கால், மன்னர் தம்மிடமிருந்த விருதுகள் பலவற்றையும் உமறுப் புலவருக்கு வழங்கி அனுப்பிவைத்தார். வெற்றி பெற்று வீடு திரும்பிய தம் மாணாக்கரை இறுகத் தழுவிக்கொண்ட கடிகைமுத்துப் புலவர்,தாம் அப்போது முதுமை எய்திவிட்டதால், அன்றுமுதல் உமறே எட்டையபுரத்து அரண்மனை அவைப் புலவராக இருக்கவேண்டுமென்று ஆசி கூறி அனுப்பி வைத்தார். அன்று முதல் உமறுப் புலவர் எட்டையபுரத்து அரண்மனையை அலங்காரித்து வந்தார்.* * * * * * * *
சீறாப்புராணம் இயற்றப்பெற்ற வரலாறு
தமிழகத்தில் ஆங்காங்கிருந்த முஸ்லிம் மக்கள் இலக்கிய ஆர்வத்துடன் கம்பராமாயணம், மகாபாரதம் போன்ற இலக்கியங்களின் உபந்நியாசங்களைக் கேட்டு வருவது அன்றைய வழக்கமாக இருந்தது.அக்காலத்தில்,இராமநாதபுரச் சேதுபதி மன்னாரின் அமைச்சராய் இலங்கி வந்த செய்கப்துல் காதிர் என்ற 'சீதக்காதி மரைக்காயர்'அவர்கள் இதனை உணர்ந்து,முஸ்லிம்கள் அவர்களின் மார்க்க அடிப்படையில் அமைந்த போரிலக்கியங்களின் உபந்நியாசங்களைக் கேட்கவேண்டும் என்ற பெருவிருப்பை உடையவராயிருந்தனர். தமது இவ்வேட்கையைத் தணிப்பதற்கான நல்வாய்ப்பை எதிர்நோக்கியும் காத்திருந்தார்.இவ்வாறிருக்கையில்,ஒருநாள் அரசாங்க வேலையின் நிமித்தம் சீதக்காதி மரைக்காயர் அவர்கள் எட்டயபுர அரசவைக்குச் செல்ல நேர்ந்தது.ஆங்கு உமறு என்ற பெயாரில் ஒரு புலவர் இருக்கக் கண்டு,'இவரே பெருமானாரின் வாழ்க்கையைக் காப்பியமாகப் பாட வல்லவர்'என்று ஓர்ந்தார். சின்னாட்கள் கழிந்த பின்னர் தமதில்லத்தில் நிகழ்ந்த விருந்தில் கலந்துகொள்ள உமறுப் புலவர் வந்த போது தமது உள்ளக் கிடக்கையை அன்னாரிடம் வௌரியிட்டார் சீதக்காதி வள்ளல்.புலவரும் இத்னை அடக்கத்துடன் ஏற்றுக்கொண்டார். எனினும்,வள்ளல் பெருமானாரின் வரலாற்றுச் செய்திகளை உரையாகத் தருவது யார் என்ற கேள்வி எழுந்தது.சீதக்காதி வள்ளல் தம் ஆன்மீக வழிகாட்டியான 'இறைநேசர் ஷெய்கு சதக்கத்துல்லாஹ் அப்பா'அவர்களை அணுகி,பெருமானாரின் வாழ்க்கைச் சாரிதையினைக் காவியமாகப் பாட உமறுப் புலவருக்கு உரை வழங்குமாறு கோரி நின்றார்கள்.உமறுப் புலவாரின் அலங்கோலத் தோற்றத்தைக் கண்டு,உரை கொடுக்க அப்பா அவர்கள் இசையவில்லை.உளம் வாடிய உமறுப் புலவர்,பெருமானாரின் வாழ்வைக் காவியமாக்கி, அதன் நிமித்தமாக அன்னாரைத் தாம் காணும் நாள் எந்நாளோ என்று ஏங்கி,பள்ளிவாயி லுக்குள் சென்றமர்ந்து தம் உள்ளத்து உணர்ச்சிகளைப் பாக்களாகப் பாடிக்கொண்டிருந்தார். இவ்வாறு எண்பத்தெட்டு பாடல்கள்* பாடி முடித்தபோது புலவரைத் துயில் ஆட்கொண்டது. பெருமானார்(ஸல்) அவர்கள், புலவாரின் கனவில் தோன்றி,மறுபடியும் அப்பா அவர்களிடம் சென்று உரை கேட்குமாறு பணித்தனர்.கண் விழித்த உமறுப் புலவர் கருணை நபியவர்களின் கட்டளையைச் சிரமேற்கொண்டு,அப்பா அவர்கலிடம் சென்று உரை கோரினர்.முன்போலன்றி, புலவரை எதிகொண்டழைத்து உபசாரித்த அப்பா அவர்கள்,சீறா உரை கொடுக்கச் சம்மதித்தனர்.அப்பா அவர்கள் தாங்களாகவும்,தம் மாணாக்கராகிய மஹ்மூது பந்தர் என்று வழங்க பெற்ற 'பறங்கிப் பேட்டையைச் சார்ந்த 'மாமூ நைனார் லெப்பை' என்பார் மூலமும் உமற்ப் புலவருக்கு உரை வழங்கினர்.அச்செய்திகளைக் கொண்டு சீறாக் காப்பியம் படைக்கத் தொடங்கினார் நம் புலவர்.இதற்கிடையில்,சீறாவைப் பாடப் பேருதவியாக இருந்த சீதக்காதி மரைக்காயர் அவர்கள் இறையடி சேர்ந்தனர்.காப்பியம் படைத்து வந்த உமறுப் புலவாரின் உள்ளத்தில் போரிடி விழுந்தது. அந்நிலையில், புலவாரின் இரங்க தக்க நிலையை உணர்ந்த 'அபுல்காசிம் மரைக்காயர்' என்ற வள்ளல் பெருமான்,புலவரை அன்புடன் ஆதாரித்து,சீறாவை இயற்றத் தாம் உறுதுணையாயிருப்பதாக வாக்களித்துப் பல உதவிகளும்செது ஊக்கினார். 'சீறாப்புராணம்"என்ற ஒரு பெருங்காவியம் உருவெடுத்தது. ஈடிணையில்லா இப்பேருதவி- களுக்கு நன்றி சொலும் முகத்தான், உமறுப் புலவர், அபுல் காசிம் மரைக்காயரைத் தம் சீறாப்புராணத்தில் பல இடங்களில் மறவாமல் நினைவு கூர்ந்து போற்றி புகழ்ந்துள்ளார்.உமறுப் புலவாரின் 'சீறாப்புராணம்'அண்ணல் பெருமானாரின் வாழ்க்கை முழுவதையும் கூறவில்லை என்பது, வியப்பிற்குாரியதும், வருந்தத் தக்கதுமாகும்!யாது காரணத்தாலோ சீறாவில் நபியவர்களின் வரலாறு முழுமையாகக் கூறப்பெறவில்லை. இருப்பினும், இஸ்லாமியத் தமிழிலக்கியங்களில் சீறாப் புராணத்திற்க்கு தனியோர் இடமுண்டு.பெருமானாரின் தூய திருவாழ்க்கையின் எஞ்சிய பகுதிகளை பனூ அகமது மரைக்காயர் யாத்து முடித்தார்கள்.இதுவும் 'சின்ன சீறா'என்ற பெயாரில் பிரபலமாகியுள்ளது.பண்டிதர்களிடையே ஓரளவு பழக்கத்தில் இருக்கும் சீறா,சாதாரண வாசகர்களிடையே நிலையான ஓர் இடத்தைப் பெறாமல் போனது வியப்பிற்குாரியதாகும்.
சீறாவின் பிரதிகள் எளிதில் கிடைக்காமல் இருந்தது இதற்கு ஒரு முக்கிய காரணமாகும். பாடல்களில் விரவிக் கிடக்கும் அரபி,பார்சிச் சொற்கள்,படிப்போருக்கு மலைப்பைக் கொடுத்திருக்கலாம். இக்குறைகளை ஓரளவுக்குச் சாரிசெய்வதற்கு நாங்கள் முயன்றுள்ளோம். இப்பணியில் எங்களை ஈடுபடுத்திய வல்ல நாயனுக்கு மீண்டும் மனம்,மெய் மொழி ஆகியவற்றால் நன்றி கூறி அமைகிறோம்.

தமிழகத்தில் ஆங்காங்கிருந்த முஸ்லிம் மக்கள் இலக்கிய ஆர்வத்துடன் கம்பராமாயணம், மகாபாரதம் போன்ற இலக்கியங்களின் உபந்நியாசங்களைக் கேட்டு வருவது அன்றைய வழக்கமாக இருந்தது.அக்காலத்தில்,இராமநாதபுரச் சேதுபதி மன்னாரின் அமைச்சராய் இலங்கி வந்த செய்கப்துல் காதிர் என்ற 'சீதக்காதி மரைக்காயர்'அவர்கள் இதனை உணர்ந்து,முஸ்லிம்கள் அவர்களின் மார்க்க அடிப்படையில் அமைந்த போரிலக்கியங்களின் உபந்நியாசங்களைக் கேட்கவேண்டும் என்ற பெருவிருப்பை உடையவராயிருந்தனர். தமது இவ்வேட்கையைத் தணிப்பதற்கான நல்வாய்ப்பை எதிர்நோக்கியும் காத்திருந்தார்.இவ்வாறிருக்கையில்,ஒருநாள் அரசாங்க வேலையின் நிமித்தம் சீதக்காதி மரைக்காயர் அவர்கள் எட்டயபுர அரசவைக்குச் செல்ல நேர்ந்தது.ஆங்கு உமறு என்ற பெயாரில் ஒரு புலவர் இருக்கக் கண்டு,'இவரே பெருமானாரின் வாழ்க்கையைக் காப்பியமாகப் பாட வல்லவர்'என்று ஓர்ந்தார். சின்னாட்கள் கழிந்த பின்னர் தமதில்லத்தில் நிகழ்ந்த விருந்தில் கலந்துகொள்ள உமறுப் புலவர் வந்த போது தமது உள்ளக் கிடக்கையை அன்னாரிடம் வௌரியிட்டார் சீதக்காதி வள்ளல்.புலவரும் இத்னை அடக்கத்துடன் ஏற்றுக்கொண்டார். எனினும்,வள்ளல் பெருமானாரின் வரலாற்றுச் செய்திகளை உரையாகத் தருவது யார் என்ற கேள்வி எழுந்தது.சீதக்காதி வள்ளல் தம் ஆன்மீக வழிகாட்டியான 'இறைநேசர் ஷெய்கு சதக்கத்துல்லாஹ் அப்பா'அவர்களை அணுகி,பெருமானாரின் வாழ்க்கைச் சாரிதையினைக் காவியமாகப் பாட உமறுப் புலவருக்கு உரை வழங்குமாறு கோரி நின்றார்கள்.உமறுப் புலவாரின் அலங்கோலத் தோற்றத்தைக் கண்டு,உரை கொடுக்க அப்பா அவர்கள் இசையவில்லை.உளம் வாடிய உமறுப் புலவர்,பெருமானாரின் வாழ்வைக் காவியமாக்கி, அதன் நிமித்தமாக அன்னாரைத் தாம் காணும் நாள் எந்நாளோ என்று ஏங்கி,பள்ளிவாயி லுக்குள் சென்றமர்ந்து தம் உள்ளத்து உணர்ச்சிகளைப் பாக்களாகப் பாடிக்கொண்டிருந்தார். இவ்வாறு எண்பத்தெட்டு பாடல்கள்* பாடி முடித்தபோது புலவரைத் துயில் ஆட்கொண்டது. பெருமானார்(ஸல்) அவர்கள், புலவாரின் கனவில் தோன்றி,மறுபடியும் அப்பா அவர்களிடம் சென்று உரை கேட்குமாறு பணித்தனர்.கண் விழித்த உமறுப் புலவர் கருணை நபியவர்களின் கட்டளையைச் சிரமேற்கொண்டு,அப்பா அவர்கலிடம் சென்று உரை கோரினர்.முன்போலன்றி, புலவரை எதிகொண்டழைத்து உபசாரித்த அப்பா அவர்கள்,சீறா உரை கொடுக்கச் சம்மதித்தனர்.அப்பா அவர்கள் தாங்களாகவும்,தம் மாணாக்கராகிய மஹ்மூது பந்தர் என்று வழங்க பெற்ற 'பறங்கிப் பேட்டையைச் சார்ந்த 'மாமூ நைனார் லெப்பை' என்பார் மூலமும் உமற்ப் புலவருக்கு உரை வழங்கினர்.அச்செய்திகளைக் கொண்டு சீறாக் காப்பியம் படைக்கத் தொடங்கினார் நம் புலவர்.இதற்கிடையில்,சீறாவைப் பாடப் பேருதவியாக இருந்த சீதக்காதி மரைக்காயர் அவர்கள் இறையடி சேர்ந்தனர்.காப்பியம் படைத்து வந்த உமறுப் புலவாரின் உள்ளத்தில் போரிடி விழுந்தது. அந்நிலையில், புலவாரின் இரங்க தக்க நிலையை உணர்ந்த 'அபுல்காசிம் மரைக்காயர்' என்ற வள்ளல் பெருமான்,புலவரை அன்புடன் ஆதாரித்து,சீறாவை இயற்றத் தாம் உறுதுணையாயிருப்பதாக வாக்களித்துப் பல உதவிகளும்செது ஊக்கினார். 'சீறாப்புராணம்"என்ற ஒரு பெருங்காவியம் உருவெடுத்தது. ஈடிணையில்லா இப்பேருதவி- களுக்கு நன்றி சொலும் முகத்தான், உமறுப் புலவர், அபுல் காசிம் மரைக்காயரைத் தம் சீறாப்புராணத்தில் பல இடங்களில் மறவாமல் நினைவு கூர்ந்து போற்றி புகழ்ந்துள்ளார்.உமறுப் புலவாரின் 'சீறாப்புராணம்'அண்ணல் பெருமானாரின் வாழ்க்கை முழுவதையும் கூறவில்லை என்பது, வியப்பிற்குாரியதும், வருந்தத் தக்கதுமாகும்!யாது காரணத்தாலோ சீறாவில் நபியவர்களின் வரலாறு முழுமையாகக் கூறப்பெறவில்லை. இருப்பினும், இஸ்லாமியத் தமிழிலக்கியங்களில் சீறாப் புராணத்திற்க்கு தனியோர் இடமுண்டு.பெருமானாரின் தூய திருவாழ்க்கையின் எஞ்சிய பகுதிகளை பனூ அகமது மரைக்காயர் யாத்து முடித்தார்கள்.இதுவும் 'சின்ன சீறா'என்ற பெயாரில் பிரபலமாகியுள்ளது.பண்டிதர்களிடையே ஓரளவு பழக்கத்தில் இருக்கும் சீறா,சாதாரண வாசகர்களிடையே நிலையான ஓர் இடத்தைப் பெறாமல் போனது வியப்பிற்குாரியதாகும்.
சீறாவின் பிரதிகள் எளிதில் கிடைக்காமல் இருந்தது இதற்கு ஒரு முக்கிய காரணமாகும். பாடல்களில் விரவிக் கிடக்கும் அரபி,பார்சிச் சொற்கள்,படிப்போருக்கு மலைப்பைக் கொடுத்திருக்கலாம். இக்குறைகளை ஓரளவுக்குச் சாரிசெய்வதற்கு நாங்கள் முயன்றுள்ளோம். இப்பணியில் எங்களை ஈடுபடுத்திய வல்ல நாயனுக்கு மீண்டும் மனம்,மெய் மொழி ஆகியவற்றால் நன்றி கூறி அமைகிறோம்.

CONNECT
§ Establish rapport with people

முதுமை என்பது, ஒரு குழந்தைப் பருவம்!
என் பெற்றோர் என்னைச் சந்திக்க வந்துவிட்டு, ஒரு வியாழக்கிழமை அன்று ஊருக்குத் திரும்பிச் செல்ல ஆயத்தம் செய்துகொண்டிருந்தார்கள். அவர்களை விடைகொடுத்து அனுப்புவதற்காக நாங்கள் விமான நிலையத்திற்குச் செல்ல ஆயத்தமானோம். உண்மையில், அவர்கள் ஊருக்கு விமானத்தில் திரும்பிச் செல்ல இருக்கிறார்கள் என்பது, அவர்களுக்குத் தெரியாது. என் பெற்றோர், அதுவரையில் விமானப் பயணமே செய்ததில்லை! எனவே, இம்முறை விமானப் பயணத்தின் சுகானுபவத்தில் அவர்கள் திளைக்கட்டும் என்று முடிவெடுத்து, அவர்களுக்கான இருக்கையை உறுதிப்படுத்திவிட்டுத்தான், என் தந்தையாரிடம் விமானப் பயணச்சீட்டை நீட்டினேன்.
என் தந்தையின் முகத்தில் பளிச்சிட்ட வியப்பையும் ஆனந்தத்தையும் கண்டு மகிழ்ந்த நான், விமானம் பறக்கும் உயரமென்ன, அதைவிடப் பன்மடங்கு உயரப் பறந்தேன்! பள்ளிச் சிறுவன் ஒருவனைப்போல், அவர் தான் எடுத்துச் செல்லவேண்டிய பொருள்களை ஒவ்வொன்றாக எடுத்து வைத்துக்கொண்டிருந்ததும், தனது சாமான்களை ஏற்றிக்கொண்டு உருட்டிச் செல்லும் 'ட்ராலி'யை நகர்த்திப் பார்த்ததும், நாங்கள் விமான நிலையத்தை அடைந்த பின்னர் பயணிகளின் பரிசோதனைக்காகக் காத்திருந்ததும், தனக்குச் சாளர இருக்கை (Window seat) கேட்டுப் பெற்றதும் ஆகிய அவருடைய ஒவ்வொரு அசைவும் என்னைக் குதூகலிக்கச் செய்தது.
இறுதியாக, எங்களுக்கு விடைகொடுத்துவிட்டு விமானத்தில் ஏறும் நேரத்தை அடைந்தபோது, என்னை நோக்கி வந்த அவருடைய முகத்தைப் பார்த்தேன்; அவர் கண்கள் பனித்தன! "Thanks my dear son" என்று அவர் கூறியபோது, அவருடைய அதரங்கள் துடித்தன! அவருடைய நன்றிக்கு ஆயிரம் பொருள்கள் கூறலாம்! நான் செய்ததோ, ஒரேயொரு உதவிதான். அதன் பயனை உணர்ந்த அந்தத் தந்தையின் உள்ளமோ, அதற்காக அயிரமாயிரம் நன்றிகளை அள்ளித் தந்துகொண்டிருந்தது!
அவர் எனக்கு நன்றி கூறியபோது, எனது அந்தச் சாதாரண உதவிக்காகத் தந்தையிடமிருந்து இத்துணை உணர்வுகளின் வெளிப்பாடா என்று வியந்து நின்றேன்! "எனக்கு ஏனப்பா இவ்வளவு நன்றிப் பெருக்கு?" எனக் கூறி எனது தாழ்மையை வெளிப்படுத்தினேன். அடுத்த வினாடியில், எனது கடந்த கால வாழ்க்கையின் எல்லா விதமான நிகழ்வுகளும் என் இதயத்தில் படங்களாக விரிந்தன:
நாம் குழந்தைகளாக இருந்தபோது, பெற்றோர் நம்முடைய எத்தனைக் கனவுகளை நனவுகளாக்கினர்! அவர்களின் பொருளாதார நிலைபற்றி அறியாமல், நாங்கள் கிரிக்கெட் மட்டை வாங்கிக் கேட்டோம்; வாங்கித் தந்தார்கள். விதவிதமான ஆடைகள், விளையாட்டுச் சாதனங்கள் எல்லாம் வாங்கித் தந்தார்கள். புதுப்புது இடங்களைக் கண்டு களிக்கச் செய்தார்கள். அவர்களின் பொருளாதார வசதியைப்பற்றி எங்களுக்கேது கவலை? எங்களுக்கு எங்கள் ஆசைகள் நிறைவேறவேண்டும்; அவ்வளவுதான். அவற்றை நிறைவேற்றித் தருவதற்காக அவர்கள் என்னவெல்லாம் தியாகங்கள், அர்ப்பணிப்புகள் செய்தார்கள் என்பது பற்றியெல்லாம் நாங்கள் சிந்தித்துப் பார்த்தோமா? அல்லது, அவர்கள் நிறைவேற்றித் தந்த எங்கள் விருப்பங்களுக்காக எப்பொழுதாவது அவர்களுக்கு நாங்கள் நன்றி சொன்னோமா?
இது போன்றே, இன்று நாங்கள் எம் குழந்தைகளின் முன்னேற்றத்திற்காக, அவர்களைத் தரமான பள்ளிகளில் சேர்த்துப் படிக்க வைக்கிறோம். அதற்கான செலவுகளைக் கணக்குப் பார்ப்பதில்லை. அவர்களுக்கு எல்லா வசதிகளையும் செய்து கொடுத்து, நம்மைப்பற்றிப் பெரிதாக எண்ணிக்கொள்ளும் அதே வேளை, நம்மை உயர்நிலையில் ஆக்க நம்முடைய பெற்றோர்கள் என்னவெல்லாம் தியாகங்கள் செய்திருப்பார்கள் என்பதை நினைத்துப் பார்க்கத் தவறிவிடுகின்றோம்!
என் சிறு வயதில் என் பெற்றோர் என்னிடம் கேட்ட பல கேள்விகளுக்குப் பொறுமையில்லாமல் பதில் சொல்லியிருக்கிறேன். அப்போதெல்லாம், அவர்கள் என்னைப்பற்றி என்ன நினைத்திருப்பார்கள் என்று எனக்குத் தெரியாது. ஆனால், இப்போது என் மகள் கேட்கும் கேள்விகளுக்கு நான் மிகவும் அடக்கமாகவும் அமைதியாகவும் பதில் கூறுகின்றேன். இப்போதுதான் நமக்கு உணர்வு வருகின்றது, முதுமை என்பது மற்றொரு குழந்தைப் பருவமாகும் என்று. எனவே, நாம் நம் குழந்தைகளைப் பாசத்துடன் பராமரிக்கும் விதத்திலேயே நம் பெற்றோர்களையும் முதியவர்களையும் நோக்கவேண்டும்.
நம் குழந்தைகள் வந்து நம்மிடம் கேள்விகள் கேட்கும்போது, செய்தித்தாளைப் படித்துக்கொண்டிருக்கலாம். அப்போது, அவர்களின் முகத்தை நோக்கிக் கனிவாக பதில் கூறுவதற்குப் பகரமாக, ஒரே வார்த்தையில் பதில் கூறி அவர்களை விரட்டிவிடக் கூடாது.
"Thanks!" என்ற சொல்லைக் கூறி, என்னை இவ்வளவு தூரம் சிந்திக்கச் செய்துவிட்ட என் தந்தையை, அவருக்கு இன்பத்தைத் தரும் இந்தப் பயணக் கனவை நனவாக்கிக் கொடுக்க இவ்வளவு நாட்கள் காத்திருக்க வைத்துவிட்டேனே என்ற குற்ற உணர்வால் கூனிக் குறுகி நின்றேன் நான். எனக்கு நன்றாகத் தெரியும், அவர்கள் என்னை உயர்த்தி வைத்துப் பார்ப்பதற்காக என்னவெல்லாம் தியாகங்கள் செய்திருப்பார்கள் என்று. எஞ்சியிருக்கும் நாட்களில் அவர்களின் எல்லாத் தேவைகளையும் நிறைவேற்றிக் கொடுப்பேன் என்று இவ்வேளை நான் எடுக்கும் உறுதிப்பாடு நிலைத்திருக்கவேண்டும், அவர்களின் மரணத்தின் பின்னரும்!
அவர்கள் முதுமையை அடைந்துவிட்டதால், அவர்களின் இதய வேட்கைகளைத் தியாகம் செய்துவிட வேண்டும்; அவர்களின் பேரப்பிள்ளைகளின் பராமரிப்பில் தங்கள் எஞ்சிய காலத்தைக் கழிக்கவேண்டும் என்பது கருத்தன்று. அவர்களுக்கும் ஆசைகள் இருக்கத்தான் செய்யும்! எனவே, உங்கள் பெற்றோரின் விருப்பங்களை நிறைவேற்றுங்கள்! அவர்கள் விலைமதிப்பற்ற சொத்தாவர்!

Assalamualaikum Warahmathullahi Wabarakathuhu Brother Imtiaz
This email is in reference to Crescent School located in Pondicherry in the southern part of India 160 kms from Chennai run by Syedia Charitable Trust. This is the only school in and around Pondicherry which offers English medium education from Pre-KG to 8th STD (middle school) along with Islamic studies in English and Quran Hifz in an Islamic environment with best efforts in adhering to the Quran and Sunnah and aspiring to move to high school (9th and 10th). There has always been a big requirement for such a school in Pondicherry as it has a sizeable Muslim populace. Now there is Alhamdulillah a new and willing Administration for the school to fulfil this need.
Unfortunately, the school lacks basic amenities, which prevents Muslim parents from making the school a preferred choice of education for their children. We have made a lot of changes as far as academics are concerned including having a new set of qualified staff for regular subjects and Islamic Studies and qualified Alim for Quran Hifz and Arabic studies, but still unable to fulfil the infrastructural needs of the school.

The school Alhamdulillah is striving in the way of Allah with best possible efforts and is very much eligible for Zakaat and Sadaqah as well. This email is in reference to Crescent School located in Pondicherry in the southern part of India 160 kms from Chennai run by Syedia Charitable Trust. This is the only school in and around Pondicherry which offers English medium education from Pre-KG to 8th STD (middle school) along with Islamic studies in English and Quran Hifz in an Islamic environment with best efforts in adhering to the Quran and Sunnah and aspiring to move to high school (9th and 10th). There has always been a big requirement for such a school in Pondicherry as it has a sizeable Muslim populace. Now there is Alhamdulillah a new and willing Administration for the school to fulfil this need.
Unfortunately, the school lacks basic amenities, which prevents Muslim parents from making the school a preferred choice of education for their children. We have made a lot of changes as far as academics are concerned including having a new set of qualified staff for regular subjects and Islamic Studies and qualified Alim for Quran Hifz and Arabic studies, but still unable to fulfil the infrastructural needs of the school.
